Memory (December 18, 2014)
Still in my bed
My eyes clenched wide
I think of your body
Lying peaceful at my side
When I stretch out my arms
To encircle your warmth
Empty space do I meet
As you are gone forth
Across the many mountains
And along the river banks
I yearn to be beside you
To hold you in place
And feel your rough hands
To know you are real
Over the curves of my body
My heart do they steal
Though brief are our moments
And words are but few
It only takes a second
For me to love you anew
